Its The Most Wonderful Time of The Year

Hi Beauties,

This time of year is my absolute favorite time of the year, I can not believe that we are into the Holiday season already!

I have so many ideas for videos and blogs that I am going to be doing for you guys over the next few months. I did; however, want to run an idea by you guys, what do you guys think about me doing Vlogmas? I'm thinking yes! I posted my first YouTube video in September but haven't gotten a chance to film another one since then, but, I am ready to begin filming on a weekly basis.

I'M BACK!!!

Hi Beauties,
I have been so many places over the last few months but one of those places that I haven't been is here! I am so sorry that I haven't posted in a while. I promise that I am back and I will be posting at least once a week if not more than once! Actually if you would like you can comment bellow how often you think that I should post every week!

I also plan on doing one YouTube video a week. however, i may miss a week every now and then only because doing a video is so time consuming I wont always have time to do one every week.

I'm Awake I Swear ;)

Hi Beauties,
I don't know about you guys but, when I wake up in the morning I don't exactly look or feel ready to take on the day! I am always looking for new ways to look and feel wide awake even when you're not! Here are my top 5 ways to look wide awake!

The first thing I do when I wake up is I put two spoons in the freezer. I leave them in there for 15 minutes and then apply them under my eyes to get rid of any puffiness and help relieve dark circles.

I then move towards the bathroom to wash my face. In the morning I like to use cold water to wash my face because it gives me a bit of a kick start to getting ready.

I never forget to put on my eye cream in the morning. I use the Origins Gin-zing eye cream and I absolutely love it! Another eye cream I love to use is the Tarte Maracuja Eye Cream. (I am currently all out of my Tarte eye cream and I will be repurchasing)

Now that I have awakened my skin I move onto awakening my self. A lot of people will use coffee in the morning to help them feel awake and ready to take on the day but coffee isn't the best thing you can be putting into your body. That's why I looked for other options. That's how I found Spark. Spark is a product sole by Advocare and it gives you long lasting energy that is good for you! (Plus you don't have to deal with coffee breath) I recommend  spark to anyone that is looking for something to replace their coffee. I will have a link bellow to where you can order it! I absolutely recommend it! (I am not sponsored to say any of this I just really want you guys to receive the health benefits that I have!) If you never look into any other product that I have recommended on here look into this one!!!

Lastly I will throw on a quick coat of mascara that way my eyes look wide awake. This allows me to go and run simple errands while looking ready without having to get completely ready. (That sentence makes no sense and complete sense at the same time! Haha)

A Few of My Favorite Things (August)

Hi Beauties,
Yet another month has passed which means it is time for my August favorites. Make sure to read to the very end of this post where I will be making an announcement.

The month of August has been such an amazing month! there have been so many positive things that have happened! I am so excited for everything that September will bring (and not just because my birthday is in September)

The first product that I have been loving this month is a health care product. I have recently gotten into fitness and eating well and exercising and the thing that kickstarted this was beginning on the Advocare 24 Day Challenge. I am currently on day 13 of 24 and I have lost 5 lb. The weight loss to me was totally secondary, I feel amazing while taking these products and the people that work for their company are absolutely amazing! I will have a link below to the Advocare website! The entire 24 Day Challenge is amazing but the product that stands out to me the most is Spark! My favorite flavor is the Fruit Punch flavor! it tastes amazing and it gives you long lasting energy that is good for you! I used to depend on my morning cup of coffee, but anymore just give me a Spark and I am ready to brave the day! (I am not being paid to say any of this Advocare is a company that I truly believe in and I would love for all of you to feel as amazing as I do while taking their products!)

The second thing that I have been loving this month are eyelash extensions! I recently got eyelash extensions and I am in love. As I was looking for products to put into my monthly favorites post i was having a hard time coming up with makeup products and then i realized that I was having a hard time because since I got my eyelash extensions I haven't even had to do my makeup. I wake up and go to sleep looking exactly the same and I love it! it makes life on the go seem so much easier. I have done my makeup on days when I am going to be out and about but other than that in my daily activities I have not found a need to apply anything extra to my face! (do not pay a ton of money to have them done, I got mine done for $25 and I love them, Seek a deal!) I will have a picture of my eyelashes up on my Instagram and Twitter Tomorrow, I didn't have time to take pictures before I posted.

Next I have been so in love with my EOS Lip Balm. I have used multiple flavors you could say and by far my favorite is the Sweet Mint that comes in the baby blue ball. The only other flavor I feel lives up to the Sweet Mint is the light Purple Passion Fruit. I love Eos and I think that everyone should be using this lip balm!

My last favorite for the Month of August is the Milk Chocolate Soleil bronzer by Too Faced. I have talked about this bronzer in the past in my Top 5 Blush and Bronzer blog post which I will link bellow! I went into sephora about a year ago intending to buy the Benefit Hoola Bronzer and I came out with the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil bronzer. I love everything about this bronzer from the packaging, to the scent, to the formula. If you have light skin or if you just want a soft glow as opposed to a harsh contour this is definitely the bronzer for you!

Get to Know Me

Hi Beauties,
I asked on Twitter for you guys to send me questions for a get to know me blog post and the response I got was amazing! I feel so honored to have so many loving, supportive, and amazing people following me! So I will be answering all of the questions you guys asked plus a few others that I think you guys might want to know!

1- Do you have any memories from the past that stick with you to this day?

I have so many memories that stick with me but I would say that the ones that stick out the most are days spent with my family. A few years back my family went on a trip to San Francisco and I have so many amazing memories from that trip. We spent one day walking from the townhouse that we rented to the Golden Gate Park and if you have ever been there you know that there are all kinds of trails and gardens that you can go explore and my family spent an entire day laughing and hiking through the park. We also went into Chinatown and went tea tasting! (My entire family loves to drink tea!)

2- What is your favorite band?

This question is such a hard one for me because I love music and all kinds of music at that but I have never been a person that knows band names or song names. One band that does stick out to me though is The Band Perry. I absolutely love their song "If I Die Young".

3- Do you like animals?

I love animals! I always have and I likely always will! If i had to choose a favorite animal it would definitely be a dog! I have a dog named Scarlett and she is such a sweetheart!

4- What are you allergic to?

This one was kind of a funny question but you know why not? I am allergic to Bunnies and Cats, or as many people tell me "I'm allergic to cute".

I am very fortunate to not be allergic to any foods or other products because food allergies are very common in both sides of my family.

5- Are you single?

Yes I am single.

6- What is your favorite part about being  a beauty blogger?

My favorite part about being a beauty blogger is being able to share my knowledge and tips and tricks with you guys! I love being able to connect with you guys and be there for you guys like a friend!

7- Are you ever going to start a YouTube?

Yes I will be starting my youtube channel in the middle of September! As soon as I get everything ready I will let you guys know on here, Twitter and Instagram!

8- How involved are you with your family?

I am so involved with my family. We are always together and we all live close to each other so its amazing! I don't know what i would do if I didn't have my family around all of the time. 

 

  

 

9- Do you have an Instagram?

10- What is your favorite food?

My favorite food is Italian food! I love pasta and all of the different sauces that you put on! However; I really try to only eat it every once in a while!

I love pink, coral, and mint greenish/blue!

How To Dry Shampoo

Hi Beauties,

Using dry shampoo can be difficult no matter what your hair color but is especially difficult when you have brunette hair. I have experimented with many different ways to use dry shampoo while not leaving your hair looking grey or even white but rather leaving it looking like it was just done! I use the Dove Dry Shampoo!

The secret to a perfectly dry shampoo hair-do is to dry shampoo your hair the night before you are planning on wearing it out. I like to wash my hair then blow dry and curl it. When I do this my hair will hold the curl for days ,but,  I try to only go two days between hair washes!

 What I do is,  before I go to sleep I spray a generous amount of dry shampoo to the areas where I see fit, once I have done this I like to run  my fingers through my hair to ensure that there are no areas that were left undone.

Now that the dry shampoo is all mixed into my hair I will go to sleep that way when I wake up my hair will look like It was just washed and curled.

A Few of My Favorite Things (July)

Hi Beauties,

The Month of july has been such a busy month with birthdays and other celebrations! I have been loving some new products along with some old! I hope that you all had a wonderful month of July and lets all have a wonderful August! Dont forget that once my twitter hits 1,000 followers I will be doing a Giveaway! So if you would like that Giveaway to come sooner than help get me to 1,000 followers!

The first item that I have been loving this month is the LUSh Lip exfoliating scrub. I discovered this product a few months ago and I have been addicted to it ever since. I know what you must be thinking... why would I love a lip exfoliator but the answer is simple. Your lips are the only part of your body that does not naturally self exfoliate which means that they need a little help in becoming smoothe! I love the lush lip exfoliating scrubs because they taste amazing and they truly work! I recommend applying a lip balm after you exfoliate your lips for best results!

Next is my Cetaphil face wash! I have talked about this product in a few of my other blog posts but I have been using this product exclusively for the month of July. If you have sensitive skin and are looking for a new face wash that will actually work without causing any additional issues that this is the one for you! (Remember that whenever you change face products that your skin will go through a phase where some additional blemishes may come up but just give it a week or two and you will begin to see positive results)

Moving on from lips and face I’m going to hair and this month I have been loving the Dove Dry shampoo. This product is amazing and I will have a more in depth blog post up for you late this week telling you how I use it and what exactly I love about it!

Now for makeup I have been using my Sephora Desert Sunset palette a lot for the entire month of July. I don't think that it is for sale anymore but I wish so badly that they would continue to sell it because it is one of my favorite palettes. I love sing the slightly shimmery bronzer in my crease with the champagne color on my lid. this look is one of my go to looks and it will truly compliment so many skin tones and eye colors.

Last but not least I have rediscovered my love for the Buxom White Russian lip gloss. I love wearing this gloss on its own or over basically any lip color and it just takes your look to the next level every time!  I love everything about this lipgloss!

How to Healthy Skin

Hi Beauties,

About a year ago I was having some problems with my skin and nothing I was doing would work. I went to the doctor who prescribed me a cream and referred me to a Dermatologist who tried to prescribe me these giant vitamins but although everyone was prescribing me things no one could identify exactly what was going on with my skin.

Finally I decided to take matters into my own hands. I went from using 7  products on my face to using 3, but this was not the only change I made. The other change I made was I cut out all grains and sugars for one month. These two steps cleared my skin instantly. Since making these changes I have not had any issues with my skin.

The products that I use on my face are Cetaphil face wash, LUSH Tea Tree Toner, and Josie Maran Argan Oil. These three products have been life changing for me. My skin has been clear and soft ever since I made these changes.

How to Clean Makeup Brushes

Hi Beauties,

I have tried so many different methods to cleaning my makeup brushes, but at the end of the day the method that I always come back to is the one that I created myself. I feel that my method fully cleanses your brushes while still leaving them moisturized.

I start by cutting a bar of Dove Unscented soap in half. I use dove soap because it cleanses completely while not damaging the bristles  on the brushes. I have no real reason for cutting this bar of soap in half other than the fact that the plastic container I use to store it in is not big enough for a full sized bar of soap.

Next I grab out my Cetaphil face wash as this will moisturize the bristles and leave them soft but cleansed.

One other thing I always have on hand while cleaning my makeup brushes is a washcloth that way once I have finished cleaning the brushes I can dry them off a bit before letting them air dry.

Now that we have finished all of the prep work its time to start to clean your brushes. I run the sink water for a little bit that way it can heat up a bit. After the water is warm I will fill the container I store my hlf bar of soap in until only the top of the soap is out of the water.

Next I grab a makeup brush and dip it into the soap container water and start to brush it against the bar of soap going for left to right about 10 times. 

After that you will do the same left and right brushing motion but this time you will be brushing it against the palm of your hand. (Always remember to be very gentle handed as you do all of this)  Once you think that you have cleansed all of the shadow off of you brush you will rinse it under warm water repeating the back and forth brushing motion to get all of the soap out of the bristles. 

Now that you have cleansed your brush it is time to add in some moisture as well as making sure that your brush won't irritate your skin. I do this by using Cetaphil face wash. I squirt one pump into my hand and repeat the back and forth swiping motion about 10 times. After this I again rinse under warm water. 

The last step to cleaning your makeup brushes is to dry them. I do this by gently patting it from left to right on a dry wash cloth. Then I lay them all out to air dry overnight.

Amazing DIY Toner

Hi Beauties,
I have tried so many different toners from high end to drugstore, but the one that I just keep coming back to is a toner that I make myself. I did not create this recipe; however, It was created for me by my cousin who is a Dermatologist. She says that she recommends everyone uses this toner! We both agree that using this toner on a daily basis helped to clear up the skin issues we were having.

So now for the big question... what do you need?

• Apple Cider Vinegar 1/4 cup
• Green Tea 1 bag 
• Hot Water 1/2 cup

These two simple ingredients will play a key role in your skincare regimen! Now, when you make this toner you will want to do two parts green tea to one part vinegar.

Start by boiling 1/2 cup of water. Once water has come to a boil you will transfer the liquid into a mug to brew your green tea. You can use any brand of green tea that you would like, I use the Trader Joe's brand Organic Green Tea. Let your tea steep  for 10 minutes before squeezing out your tea bag. Now you will add in a 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar.

I suggest that you only make a one week supply at a time as this mixture can go bad. I store my mixture in a plastic container in the refrigerator.

Apply this toner to your face using a cotton ball  morning and night or as you see fit.

A Few of My Favorite Things (June)

Hi Beauties,
This month has been such a fun month for me, I have been busier than ever, I am so excited to share with you guys all of the things I have been loving this month!

The first thing that I have been OBSESSED with this month is the Kat Von D Everlasting blush in Bellisima, This blush is absolutely gorgeous it has the slightest bit of shimmer and blends beautifully into your skin. I wore this blush religiously during the entire month of June and I am LOVING it! I don't have a tone of Kat Von D makeup products but the ones that I do have I am loving, so thumbs up to her for creating this wonderful makeup line!

The next Product I have been used almost every day during the entire month of June and the only days I didn't wear it were days when I was not wearing any makeup at all. This product is the Makeup Geek Pan Shadow in the color Shimma Shimma. I am in LOVE with Makeup Geek eyeshadows and This one is a staple and a Must HAVE in your makeup collection, It gives a wonderful and very pigmented shadow. This is a shadow that will look good on EVERYONE.

My next Favorite is the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette. I have been using this palette so much during the month of June! The colors that I have used the most of are Half baked, Bootycall, Chopper,Snakebite. Suspect, and YDK. These shadows are so beautiful and blend perfectly. I can not say enough good things about this palette!

This month I have fallen in love with the Sinful Colors nail polish in the color Starfish! It is a gorgeous baby pink with a hint of purple making it the perfect Summer color! I love all of the Sinful Colors nailpolishes but this one has really stood out to me lately!

Now moving on to skin care and also the last of my June favorites, I have been crazy about the LUSH Cosmetics Fresh Face Mask Cosmetic Warrior. I just started using this mask and it was love at first sight! (Or first use) I feel that this mask is true to its name, it is a cosmetic warrior, It helps to get deep into your pores to cleanse your skin leaving it looking healthy and clear!
