Dry Skin be Gone!

Hi Beauties,
So now that we have exited winter, enjoyed some of spring and are getting ready to head into summer I know what you're all thinking... I need to get rid of all of this dry skin! I have a recipe that will remove all dry skin and leave your skin feeling baby soft!

The first thing you need to know is that getting rid of all of the dry skin is so much easier that you think! It only takes a few simple steps and you are summer ready!

I start by getting a small cup and filling it with about a half a cup of Organic sugar. It is not required that you use Organic sugar, regular sugar will do the same thing, Organic sugar is just what I have so I use it. After I put the sugar in a cup I head to she shower!  I like to take a small handful and put a squirt of my face wash into it and I just exfoliate my face and cleanse it. Sugar is fantastic to exfoliate your face with because it dissolves in water which means that it will not scratch up your face like other exfoliating products on the market! (I do wash my face again after I get out of the shower to ensure that everything is out of my skin)

Then I grab my favorite body wash, I am currently using the Dove Purely Pampering body wash in the scent Pistachio Cream and Magnolia. (This smells so amazing!!!!)  I squirt a decent amount of body wash into the cup that I put the sugar in and then I just mix it all together with my fingers.

Once your mixture is all combined you can begin to lather up and just scrub off all of that dead and dry skin. You can use a washcloth, loofah, or just your hands. However you choose to use it will work. Once you are all done scrubbing rinse off the mixture and moisturize! You will notice an immediate difference in your skin and I promise that you will be happy with it!

A Few of my Favorite Things (April)

Hi Beauties,
Wow, the month of April has flown by thus far! I am so excited that Summer is almost here, I am ready for some beach days and summer fun! (excuse me while I day dream) That being said... lets jump into my April Favorites! : )

This month I have been loving so many products, but for the sake of this post I will only list my top three that are just above and beyond amazing!

I have been on the hunt for a new bottom lash mascara and this month I found one that I am over the moon in love with! This mascara is the L'Oreal Paris Telescopic Mascara. I love it so much that I don't only use it on my bottom lashes just I use it on my top lashes as well. The wand is very skinny and is perfect for application when applying it I do recommend that like with any other mascara that you apply starting at the bottom lashes and you wiggle the wand up your lashes. This helps your lashes to appear fuller and longer and who doesn't want that?!

The next product that I want to talk about is the Sigma Beauty Blending brush which is the E40. This brush is one of the best blending brushes that I have ever used. I love using it if I am going to put just a simple color strictly in my crease on a day when I am wearing very little makeup. I also like to use it to blend out any harsh lines when applying a lot of eyeshadow. I love this brush and I will use it to add the perfect final touches to my eye makeup for the rest of my life! 

Last but certainly not least I have been loving my Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette. This is the perfect palette for spring time because it has very natural and blendable colors! I have used this palette on an almost daily basis over the last month! If you are looking for a great starter palette that still has colors that you can make multiple different looks with then this is the palette for you!

Lipstick HOT and NOT (drugstore)

Hi Beauties,
I love lipstick, weather it is a vibrant red or a soft nude, I just love lipstick. I feel that it can transform an entire look from blah to YEAH! However, not all lipsticks are the same the application, stay power, smell, and formula all have to line up perfectly for a lipstick to truly shine! I have One HOT and one NOT lipstick that I think everyone needs to know about!

First is my absolute favorite drugstore lipstick which is just amazingness in a lipstick is the................. Revlon Super Luxurious Lipsticks in well every color that they sell! I love these lipsticks so much, they smell amazing and have great lasting power. I think that this is the best drugstore lipstick formula out there. these lipsticks glide onto your lips and leave a creamy finish. I have found that they do not break up on your lips like other brands can tend to do. The pigmentation on these lipsticks in out of this world, they will cancel out any color you have naturally on your pils and leave your lips soft and wonderful!

My absolutely NOT lipstick is the e.l.f. cosmetics studio moisturizing lipstick. I did not love this product, no matter how much I wanted to love this lipstick i was just not feeling it. I tried different colors and none of them were pigmented enough for me, they didn't have much staying power and they were just not my favorite at all! If you are looking for a good drugstore lipstick these are not the ones for you! I am not at all anti e.l.f. I just thought that this product was a miss.

Oil Pulling... WHAT?!?!

So about two months back I had seen posts all over Facebook and Pinterest talking about oil pulling. All of these posts came along with all of these blips of people saying how it whitens your teeth and helps to in general detox your body. Well when you advertise something like that OF COURSE I am going to try it!
I started oil pulling that same day, because the benefits that it claimed it would give you were too good not to do. So, what oil pulling is, is swishing one-2 tbs. of coconut oil or olive oil (I use coconut oil) in your mouth for 20 minutes, no more and no less, but exactly 20 minutes. I have been doing this for two months and the results that i have seen are un real! Since I started oil pulling I have noticed that my teeth have become 3-4 shades whiter and the overall health benefits have been amazing.
Here is a step by step for how to oil pull!
Things You Will Need-
1- Coconut Oil (I buy the one from Costco)
2- A teaspoon
3- Toothbrush
4- Toothpaste

Steps-
1) Scoop out Coconut oil into your teaspoon
2) Put 1-2 Teaspoons of oil in your mouth
3) Swish around in your mouth for 20 minutes (No more and No less)
4) Spit and rinse well
5) Brush your teeth well
6) Follow these steps once a day.
