A Few of My Favorite Things (July)

Hi Beauties,

Another month has come and gone and this month has been quite a busy one! I have many favorites this month ranging from makeup to food. Links to all of the products that I mention will be at the bottom of this post!

Starting with my makeup favorites I have been obsessed with two different Ulta products this month, the first being the Legendary Lengths Mascara. I have been wearing this mascara pretty much every day during the month of July and I love it. It gives great length as well as giving decent volume, but if you are anything like me you want LOTS of length and LOTS of volume so, after I apply the Legendary Lengths Mascara I also add a bit of the Ulta Curled Up Mascara and it is wonderful! The only down side to the Curled Up Mascara is that it is in the shade black/brown so it does not give you as dark of lashes as it would if it were just in the shade black. The next product I have been loving this month is the Ulta Automatic Eyeliner in black. I know that's a lot of Ulta products, but there were having a buy one get two free sale a while back and I took that as an opportunity to try some new products by them. The last makeup product that I have been loving this month is the Too Faced Natural Eyes Eye shadow palette. I have worn this palette pretty much all month long I switch between all three of the set looks in this palette as well as mixing up my own looks! If you would like to see one of the looks that I put together using this palette just comment bellow!

Moving on from makeup, Lets go to hair, I am constantly trying new shampoos and conditioners and this month I have found one that I think will be around for a while! The shampoo and conditioner system that I am currently using is the Fructis Damage Eraser line, I use three of the products from this line, I use the shampoo, conditioner, and the Heal and Seal  Treatment. I tend to only use the actual treatment a few times a week just because with such moisturizing products I am afraid that using all three every day will make my hair appear to oily.

Now to fragrance, I have been hopping between two fragrances pretty much the entire month of July, the first being the Pink Sun kissed body mist, I love how it is lighter than a perfume, while still being stronger than a regular body spray. My second fragrance I have been using this month is the Bath and Body Works Vanilla Bean Noel this is actually one of their Holiday collection body sprays so it is only available during the winter months.

My favorite food that I have eaten this month is the home made BBQ cooked pizzas!

To make this home made pizza you will start by getting a BBQ pizza pan, however this recipe can be made in the oven. (a link to the one that I own is down bellow)

Here are the things you will need in order to make these home made pizzas

  • 1 Trader Joe's Pizza dough or the dough of your choice
  • 1/2 cup of your favorite Tomato Sauce
  • 1 Cup Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese
  • 1/4 Cup Frozen Organic Corn
  • 1/2 Organic Onion
  • 1 Organic Bell Pepper (and color)
  • 1/4 Cup Frozen Organic Corn
  • 1 Tbsp Crushed Red Peppers
  • 3 Tbsp Kerry Gold Butter Salted or Unsalted
  • 1 tsp Garlic Salt
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese
Turn the BBQ on to high and let heat for about 10 minutes. While the BBQ is heating in a small sauce pan melt 2 Tbsp of Butter and mix in the garlic salt. Cut the Onions, and Bell Peppers into slices and place them in a medium sized pan add the Butter and saute until the vegetables are soft in texture. Once the vegetables are soft add the Corn and the Crushed Red Peppers into the pan with the Onions and Peppers.
place the pizza dough on the pan that you will be cooking your pizza in and brush it the the garlic butter mixture that you made earlier then put in the BBQ for about 3 minutes or until partly cooked. Once the dough is partly cooked you will take it off of the heat or leave it on if you can be fast with putting the ingredients onto the pizza. start with the sauce, everyone likes a different amount of sauce on their pizza so add as much or as little as you please. once you have added the sauce put down your Mozzarella cheese and then sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the top. Last you will add the Onions, Peppers, and the Corn onto the pizza. Put it  back on the BBQ and cook for 8-10 minutes or until the crust is a golden brown and the cheese is slightly crisped.

If you would like to do a lighter take on this pizza you could replace the Pizza dough with a cauliflower dough.

Cauliflower Dough
  • 1 Head Cauliflower with the ends removed
  • 3/4 Cup Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1/4 Cup Parmesan Cheese
  • Garlic Salt to Taste
Steam the Cauliflower in a sauce pan. Once steamed transfer it into a medium sized bowl and smash it like mashed potatoes, once thoroughly mashed mix in both cheeses and the Garlic Salt. spread into the shape you would like and bake for 5 minutes and then add the toppings in the same order listed above!

I hope you all enjoy this recipe! Let me know in the comments what some of your favorites were this month, along with any recipe ideas or beauty suggestions! Be sure to follow me on both Instagram and Twitter @milliblogs!  I love you all so much and I will talk to you guys soon!

The New Milli Blogs

Hi Beauties,

Welcome to all of my new readers, and welcome back to all of my loyal readers. As I'm sure you have noticed, I have renamed Beauty by Jacqueline Marie to Milli Blogs. I wanted to let you guys know some of the reasoning behind why I did this. I have felt in a rut for the last few month when it came to finding things to write about and I didn't want to write posts just to get a post out, but rather I wanted to write about things that I am truly Passionate about. I am passionate about Beauty, absolutely, but I wanted to expand because life is about so much more than owning the latest lip gloss that came out.

That being said, the new and improved Milli Blogs will now feature blogs about Health, Beauty, Skin Care, Hair care, recipes (both healthy and indulgent,) and just posts on life in general. I want this blog to be a positive outlet where we can all come together as a community to be healthy, active and of course, Beautiful.

If you have topics you want me to write about feel free to leave them in the comments, or just stop by to say hi!

I am so excited to begin this new phase with my blog, and I hope that you will all love the new direction I'm going in!

Be sure to follow me on Instagram and Twitter my username on both is milliblogs. I love you all so much, and I will be back tomorrow with  my July Favorites and a little Monday Motivation!

xoxo,
Jacqueline
