Top 5 Drugstore Products

Hi Beauties,
Happy Wednesday, you are officially half way through the week! I hope you have all been having a wonderful week thus far and that this post brings some light to your day! Here are my Top 5 drugstore products I hope you enjoy! :)

The first drugstore product is in the category of hair care. I am all about finding a good hydrating shampoo and conditioner that doesn't weigh you hair down and that's exactly what the Suave Keratin shampoo and conditioner does. I have been using this shampoo and conditioner off and on for about a year now and it still remains to be one of my favorites. This product gives your hair good moisture and along with a silky feel and look. I will say the one down side to this product is that I have only been able to find it in the small sized bottle.(let me know in the comments if you know where I can find the large size bottles) Also it is one of those products where the conditioner is packaged upside down. (I can't stand when companies do this)  They also sell this shampoo and conditioner in a color care formula for all of you that dye your hair. I recommend this product to anyone looking for good moisture without your hair being weighed down!
(Suave Keratin Infusion)
Sticking with the theme of a shower, my next drugstore product is Dove Go Fresh Rebalance Body Wash in the scent Plum and Sakura Blossom. This products smells absolutely amazing; It is extremely moisturizing and does not feel oily on the skin. I enjoy most of the scents in this brand of body wash; however, this one is my absolute favorite. If you enjoy delectable smelling products that give good moisture I recommend using this product.
(Plum and Sakura Blossom)
My number three drugstore product is Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. I am in love with his product, it is the only face wash I will use anymore. It is so gentle on your skin and cleanses extremely well. I have tried many face washes but none have ever compared to this product. If you are looking for a face wash that is good for all skin types especially those with sensitive skin then this is the product for you!

(Gentle Skin Cleanser)
Number four of my top five drugstore products is Aveeno Baby Continuous Protection Lotion Sunscreen. I use this product as my daily moisturizer every morning. Similar to the Cetaphil face wash, this product is amazing for those of you with sensitive skin. It has SPF 55 and unlike most daily moisturizers with SPF in them this product does not leave any sort of oily residue and absorbs into your skin within five minutes. This moisturizer pairs perfectly with the Cetaphil face wash.
(Continuous Protection Lotion)
My number five product is EOS lip balm in Sweet Mint. I am in love with not only this brand of lip balm but this scent/flavor as well. The packaging for these products in absolutely adorable, I love how the packaging stands out from other brands and it gives the appearance that you are getting more product than you get from other lip balms. I have tried most of the scents of lip balm from this line, however the Sweet Mint is the one I find myself going back to every time. It gives your lips a lot of moisture and does not dry them out like a lot of other products do. This is a good item to have on hand at all times.
(Sweet Mint)

Top 5 Blush and Bronzer

Hi Beauties, Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I have put a lot of time into doing research on blush and bronzer, because you don't want to put products on your face that aren't good for it. Here are my top 5 blush and bronzers. (all products will be listed at the bottom of the page) Lets start with bronzer, my absolute number one bronzer is TOO FACED Milk Chocolate Soleil. This bronzer is absolutely gorgeous. It is a medium to light matte bronzer. I love this bronzer because it gives a nice warmth to the skin without being too orange or too brown. The main thing that drew me towards this bronzer was the packaging, however when I smelled it I knew that I had to have it! The scent is a nice and warm chocolate smell. This product smells amazing; it looks beautiful on the skin; and it is a beautiful color. I absolutely recommend this bronzer!
(Milk Chocolate Soleil)
My second favorite bronzer is BENEFIT COSMETICS Hoola. The packaging for this bronzer is fairly plain, but I heard too many people mention this bronzer as a must have to discard it. This bronzer is a gorgeous color and is perfect to contour with. (if you want to see a video on contouring I will link Jaclyn Hill's contour video below) This bronzer can come off slightly too orange, but if you just keep blending you will be able to dull down the orange and give your face a perfectly bronzed warmth. It also comes with a small brush that works very well for applying this product!
(Hoola)
My third and final favorite bronzer is TOO FACED Chocolate Soleil bronzer. This bronzer is the same in packaging and smell as the Milk Chocolate Soleil bronzer; however the color is quite a bit deeper. This is another matte bronzer that is perfect if you are looking for a warm brown colored bronzer.
(Chocolate Soleil)
Now on to blush, My number one blush is KAT VON D Everlasting Blush in Bellisima. Again, the thing that drew me to this product was the packaging, it comes in black packaging with a flower print. This blush is a gorgeous color, it has great color payoff and is super smooth and blendable. This blush is a mainly matte blush with the slightest bit of shimmer in it; however, it is not so much shimmer that it becomes noticeable while wearing it. If you are looking for a beautiful everyday blush this is the one for you!
(Bellisima)
My final blush and the last of my top 5 is BENEFIT COSMETICS CORALista blush. This blush is a really pretty coral color. Again the packaging is nothing special but the product is amazing. This blush is perfect for springtime and since we are heading into the spring season; I recommend you go out and buy it. This blush has very good color pay off which means that you can over do it with this product very easily so just make sure to blend away and to be careful when applying. Like Hoola, CORALista comes with a brush to apply it with, but I do not recommend using this brush to apply this product.
(CORALista)
I am always in the market for new blush and bronzer, so feel free to tweet me your recommendations! Have a beautiful day! Love and hugs, Jacqueline Marie Jaclyn Hill Contour Video- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKz_2ScmjUs

Nude Lips

Hi Beauties,
Is it just me or is everyone into nude lip colors? (I can’t help but giggle every time I write the word nude, okay now that I have gotten that little bit of immaturity out of the way lets talk lip colors). I am a new fan to nude lip colors, and I don’t know why I didn't hop on this trend sooner. Nude lip colors are so complementary to SO many skin tones and eye colors. If you are like I used to be saying “oh I don't think it will look right on me” STOP that, and give them a chance. REMEMBER to try on ALL makeup products before you buy them. Also asking for recommendations at your local Sephora, MAC, or makeup counter can be helpful in finding the shade that is perfect for you!  (all products mentioned in this post will be linked below).
Seeing as how I am fairly new to the nude lip, I have been obsessed with any new nude lip product that is put out onto the market. I have four specific nude lip colors that I am in love with at the moment, two lipsticks and two lip glosses.
My first favorite nude lipstick is Nudist by BUXOM, this color is absolutely gorgeous. This lipstick glides onto your lips so smoothly. This nude has a slight pink undertone and like most other BUXOM products it smells delicious! I love to pair this lipstick with one of my other favorites which is the BUXOM FULL-ON LIP POLISH in the color Sandy. This lip gloss lays beautifully over the Nudist lip stick! It has a slight vanilla mint scent to it; which is one of my favorite scents.
(sandy)
(Nudist)
My second favorite lipstick is from the new MAYBELLINE nude lipstick line in the color Blushing Beige. This lipstick has the classic MAYBELLINE scent and it is a beautiful nude color with cream and pinkish brown undertones. I like to pair this lipstick with BUXOM FULL-ON LIP CREAM in the color White Russian. White Russian is a gorgeous nude lip cream with a vanilla scent. This combination is my absolute favorite nude lipstick to wear.  Every beauty blogger and YouTuber talks about this color and I would say that it is definitely a MUST HAVE in your makeup collection. (White Russian is sold out in most Sephora stores. Online is your best bet for finding it).
(White Russian)
(Blushing Beige)
(While I usually pair these lipsticks with my two favorite lip glosses, they can all be worn on their own and still look beautiful)
Leave a comment below with your favorite nude lipstick or lip gloss; also feel free to give me recommendations! Make sure to follow me on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook!

Have a beautiful day!

Who's Your Favorite Beauty Guru?

Hi Beauties,
I hope You're all having a great weekend so far! This post is one that I am beyond excited to write about, so here we go! I don't know about you guys but I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE to watch YouTube tutorials, hauls, and vlogs. (as you can tell I'm fairly passionate about this) ;) Two of my favorite beauty guru's are Jaclyn Hill and Missglamorazzi.(I have many other favorite Guru's but this is a blog post not a book so I chose only two for this post). These two girls are so amazing at what they do.
I love Jaclyn Hill for how genuine her personality is. She is not afraid to be who she is, and she encourages you to do the same thing. Her makeup tutorials are amazing. She has so much talent and I am so happy that she shares her talent with us through her videos. Her product recommendations are all amazing, and did I mention that she was a M.A.C. makeup artist? (that alone should make you want to follow her ) For those of you that are not subscribed to Jaclyn Hill, you need to go and subscribe to her channel. (both of their channels will be linked at the bottom of the post)

(Jaclyn Hill)
(Ingrid Nelson)
Out next beauty expert is Missglamorazzi or better known as Ingrid. Ingrid was the first person that I started watching on YouTube. I love how sweet and kind Ingrid is. Her channel is just a general beauty channel. She does makeup tutorials, cooking recipes(which I have tried most of, and the recipes and they are amazing), get ready with me, hauls, and vlogs(on her other YouTube channel thegridmonster). One of my favorite things to watch by Ingrid are her vlogs. She puts her life out there for us to follow and I love every bit of it. Now, because if any of you are Ingrid lovers then there is one thing that I can't help but mention...... her break up with Luke. From watching Ingrid's vlog, I was emotionally invested in her relationship with Luke or "Mister" as she called him. I wanted them to get married and have ten kids(While still vloging, so I could watch their happily ever after, of-course), and when I found out that they broke up I cried.  However, I had to pull myself up, and slowly but surely I got over the breakup, the hurt of the break up that is, the hurt is still there. ( excuse me while I go watch old Luke and Ingrid vlog's and cry) Although I mentioned the break up that doesn't mean that I am not super happy for Ingrid now that she has found someone new and is very happy.
You guys need to go check out these two girl’s YouTube channels if you are not already subscribed. I hope you all have a beautiful day!

Love and hugs,
Jacqueline Marie

Lets Talk Winter Hair Care

Hi guys,
Hi Beauties,
First thing, Happy Friday! Congratulations, you made it through another week of either work, school, or whatever activities you have going. You did it now enjoy your weekend! ( But first read this blog because I'm sure you will enjoy it). Now to jump into hair care. We all have our own hair styles that we roll out for different times of the year.  Whether they are elaborate or simple, we all have our routines that we pretty much follow on a daily basis.. Since we are currently in the Winter season, lets talk Winter hair care.
The winter months can be so harsh and drying to your hair if you do not take proper measures to hydrate your hair. The first thing I do is make sure that I have a fairly lightweight shampoo and Conditioner. I use Aussie Aussome Volume shampoo and conditioner ( this shampoo and conditioner give GREAT volume go buy it!). I love this shampoo and conditioner. It is perfectly light weight, so that it doesn't weigh down your hair, especially during these Winter months when you are going to need to add oils and deep conditioners to your hair to help preserve moisture and prevent dryness.
One way that I use to prevent dryness is, I take my daily conditioner and slather my dry hair in it. I usually do this at night and then sleep with my hair in a bun. When I wake up in the morning I wash it out. This is a great way to get some extra moisture into your hair. I recommend doing thisstep once a week for optimum moisture.
.

After I use this shampoo and conditioner, I like to brush out my hair, then I apply Fructis Sleek and Shine Anti-frizz Serum. This product is amazing!!!!! While my hair is still wet and after I have brushed it out, I squirt half a pump of this stuff into my hand and I run it through the ends of  my hair. On the bottle they suggest that you blow dry your hair after this however I find that it dries my hair out when I blow dry my hair after applying this serum. Therefore I just let my hair dry naturally and it leaves my hair looking healthy and shiny, but not greasy...because who wants greasy hair? (gross)

Now that basic hair care is done its time for hair maintenance. If you are one of those girls like me that loves to do their hair, then you know that it is very important that you use a heat protector. The heat protector that I am using right now is TRESemme Heat Tamer Protective Spray. There is nothing that really stands out to me about this heat protector over any other; however, it is just what I have so it is part of my routine. I like to either curl or flat iron my hair depending on my mood. ( Fun Fact- I love curling my hair! Not so fun fact- I'm usually too lazy so I have learned to ROCK a messy bun like nobody's business. ;)Who's with me?) The curling Iron I use is the Herstyler curling wand and the flat iron I use is the Herstyler ceramic flat iron. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my flat iron and curling iron!
Now for all of those times when I just don't feel like doing my hair like I'm about to walk the red carpet,(we ALL have these days), my go to hairstyle is a simple top knot bun. When I'm feeling like being fancy i'll do a sock bun (Lazy fancy that is). OR, if I am feeling super duper fancy with my laziness I will do a side braid, fishtail, or a ponytail. I never last very long in a ponytail, it usually gives me a headache. Let me know what some hair care products are that you guys like to use during the winter. Also, feel free to share some hair ideas. Whether they are laid back and cute, or styled and fabulous, all recommendations are welcome! I wish you all soft and silky hair!

Love and hugs,
Jacqueline Marie

Mascara HOT and NOT

Hi Beauties,
Okay, so no matter if you like to wear a lot of makeup or not us girls are all always in the market for a good mascara! I have changed my mascara and said I'm "obsessed" with plenty of mascaras in my life time! Not to say that I wasn't really obsessed with it at the time but there is usually a bigger and better mascara out there that I want to try. Now get ready to dive into my mascara top  HOT and NOT!

My current mascara HOT is the big orange Rimmel London, Scandaleyes mascara! I can not say enough good things about this product! I started using it about three months ago and it has definitely been a game changer for me. I used to have to put layer upon layer of mascara on my lashes and this process was taking me anywhere from 10-20 minutes, sometimes longer. That is a ridiculous amount of time to be swiping mascara on your lashes I mean really... what was I thinking? I was at Target one day and I saw this mascara and I said why not? I went home and removed all of my makeup that way I could start from scratch.( who else does this?) I put on three swipes of this mascara and I fell in LOVE! This mascara was giving me the kind of volume and length that I would spend forever trying to achieve before.  This product is a true gem!

Now that I have gone on about my mascara HOT now its time for a mascara NOT. When I say Not I mean never will I ever purchase this product again. Before I bash a product I have to say that I am a huge fan of all of the Maybelline mascaras with the acceptation of this one. Are you ready for my absolute NOT? Drum roll please............ my absolutely NOT mascara is  Maybelline The Colossal Volum' Express Cat Eyes. This mascara has a very thin brush which made me think okay, this is perfect for bottom lashes and it will help give a really natural looking upper lashes. The first day I wore it, it didn't quite give me the volume that I was looking for... no big deal, but,  then started my problems! This mascara made my eyes sting so badly. It took me about a week to realize that my eyes were stinging from the mascara. I wasn't able to put on eye shadow for two weeks after I stopped using it, because my eyelid and under my eye were raw from this mascara.

I hope this post was helpful to you and let me know if you have any mascara recommendations! I am in the market for one that will work well for my bottom lashes right now so all recommendations are welcome! Have a fabulous day!

Love and Hugs,
Jacqueline Marie
