Summer Beauty Must-Haves!

Hi Beauties,
I am so happy to announce that I am officially at 700 followers... I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!! That being said lets jump into My summer must-haves!

I have five products that I can't live without during the summer, the first of them being primer. I am a firm believer in using a primer on your eyelids before using your shadow. I will say though that not all primers are the same, some last longer than others, but I am here to help in steering you in the direction of the best primer! My holy grail eyeshadow primer is the Urban Decay Primer Potion in Original. I love all of the Urban Decay primers but original is the most versatile shade of them all because you can put any color shadow over top of it and it will make it last all day long whereas some of the other Urban Decay primers have a tint to them to help enhance certain colors and looks. If you are looking for a new eyeshadow prime this is the one for you!

My next summer must-have is a bronzer, I have been loving the Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil bronzer. This is one of my all time favorite products that I will use until I die. This gives you such a natural looking bronze and I absolutely love it!! However, if you are looking for a more intense bronze you can also try the Chocolate Soleil. I love them both so whichever one you are looking at purchasing go for it. I have to add in as an honorary mention that I love the Benefit Cosmetics Hoola bronzer almost as much as I love my Too Faced bronzer! Whichever one you go with you will not regret it!

Next is sunblock, I know most people don't think of sunblock as a beauty product but oh my gosh should they! Sunblock should be a part of your everyday routine that you follow. While its wonderful for your skin to absorb the sun you do need to have something to protect you from all of those rays! Thats why I love to use Ocean Potion SPF 70 Anti-aging sunblock. This sunblock smells amazing and makes me actually want to wear sunblock every day! if you are on the market for a sunblock that the entire family will love this is the one! You can get whatever SPF you would like, i burn easily so I can only use SPF 70 :)

The next summer essential is a bag that can add a pop of color as well as blend with your summertime outfits! The bag that I am using for my pop of color and amazingly beautiful summertime bag is the Michael Kors Hamilton bag. I am so in love with this bag its insane. I don't usually splurge on things like this for myself but this time I couldn't resist! Another bag option is well almost all of the purses in target! They have the cutest bags and if you are looking for a super affordable and on trend bag just go to target and you will find something that you will love!

My last Summer beauty must-have is......... the Sinful Color nail polishes. I am in love with the formula of the Sinful color polishes. They are absolutely beautiful and for the price of $1.99 you can't beat it. Some of my favorite colors by them are Pink Glitter, Hazard, Oasis, and Rise & Shine. These four are just a few of my favorites!

Self Tanner YES or NO?

Hi Beauties, 

So a lot of people have been asking me what my opinion on self tanner is, so I figured why not write a blog post about it and answer your guy's question. I like everyone else loves a good tan during the summer and some of us need a little more help than others in tanning. I personally have a tendency to burn more than tan so I have to use sun block with an extremely high SPF, however; doing this makes it so that the sun doesn't even touch your skin. :( Bu have no fear because someone had the genius thought to create self tanner! ( Whoever you are I thank you dearly!) 

When I use a self tanner, I don't really do anything fancy, I like to use the Banana Boat Sunless Tanning Spray, Citrus Mist. This stuff, first of all, smells amazing... some of these selfless tanners can smell kinda funky but this one in particular smells amazing.

 How I use it is I spray it on one part of my body at a time. Usually I will start with my legs, then arms, then stomach and back. I spray some on one of my legs and then I massage it into my skin using my hands then let it dry. I follow this protocol for my entire body. I do not apply any self tanner to my face because I have very sensitive skin and do not want to risk causing irritation. 

When you have finished you will NOT see immediate results. I repeat you WILL NOT see immediate results. This formula can take up to 5 hours to fully develop but slowly over time you will see a difference until you come to the golden goddess affect it leaves when it is fully developed. This tanner will last up to a week after that you will  need to reapply the product. 

To summarize in my opinion self tanners are an absolute YES! I hope that you are all have a beautiful day!

A Few of My Favorite Things (May)

Hi Beauties,
So another month has passed and we are all getting that much closer to summer, which means warm weather and it also means that it's time for my May favorites. Due to the fact that I don't want to bore you guys with a super long blog post I have consolidated everything down to my five favorites for the month of may!

This month has been a crazy busy month with baby showers, bridal showers, and wedding to attend I had little time to write many blog posts, but I tried my hardest.

I have recently gotten into using perfume, I have always been a body spray type of person, but recently I decided that I wanted to try using perfume because I love how it stays all day and gives a luxurious scent.  So I decided that I would try a few different perfumes the one I have been obsessing over is the See by Chloe. This perfume smells so amazing its not too strong and it's not too subtle that you can't smell it. It is the perfect balance!

My next May favorite is a skin care product that I am head over heals in love with. I like to refer to this product as heaven in a little black container. Now my OMG AMAZING product is the LUSH facial moisturizer Celestial. This moisturizer is so amazing, it smells like cocoa butter but not in an obnoxious way but in a subtle but luxurious way! If you have dry skin and are looking for an amazing good for your skin moisturizer look no further, because this is the product for you! 

Now leaving skin care and going on to makeup I have been loving the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette. I have been spending a tone of time either laying by the pool or in the water and when I'm going to be out like that I don't see the point in wearing a ton of makeup so I love this palette because it gives you the options to do a very simple and subtle look for the day time and then to enhance it to transition into a nighttime look! Plus I am obsessed with the shade Venus as a brow bone highlight! 

My next favorite for the month of May is the Sinful Color nail polish in the color Hazard! I am in love with this color, it is the perfect coral color that works well with most any outfit. It adds a wonderful pop of color to your look in a glamorously understated way! 

Now last but certainly not least in my May favorites is the Origins Ginzing Eye Cream. I can not say enough good things about this product. It has worked wonders for me and it quickly has become a staple product in my skincare regimen. I have tried quite a few eye creams and some of them will burn your eyes, cause irritation, or even cause infection when they get into your eyeball but for me this product has done none of those things! I love this product and recommend it to all of you to go out and try!
